Field Trip

What a great day at Fort Whyte we had!  Students visited a variety of habitats to learn about the adaptations that animals need to survive. We discussed physical and behavioral adaptations. (physiques et comportementales en français) We had student photographers throughout the trip taking pictures of what we saw. Students visited in an indoor prairie dog habitat, an aquarium and various outdoor habitats.  We spotted some deer, as well as 2 eagles, various birds and some squirrels. There was even talk of coyote foot prints, but we were not lucky enough to spot any! Be sure to ask students about adaptations as well as the 3 ways that plant seeds travel.  You will find the pictures that the students took on the photo stream link on the right.
