3/4I has begun the ambitious task off reading and reviewing every book that we have in our class library! Once a book has been read and a short review has been written, students will be recorded reading the review and showing the book. These are then being uploaded to Aurasma, which makes the cover of the book scannable and links to the review. The cover is similar to a QR code, but it scans the whole front cover. Anyone who subscribes to our Aurasma channel can see the reviews. Students are wearing a variety of masks in the videos so that no identifiable features are visible and identities are protected.
The goal of reviewing all books is that students will be able to use a device in the classroom to scan the cover and hear a short review before they start reading. We've reviewed about 30 books so far....only another 200+ to go!!
